Peace and Torment

The cemetery is the perfect place for peace and tranquility. No one disputes here.

Everyone here took with them love and hate, joys and sorrows, hope and despair, faith and doubts, goodness and evil, humbleness and pride, wealth and poverty…

Everyone had the same fate. Their bodies decompose in peace.

And their souls, where are they?

Wherever they are, are they also at peace?

The Lord Jesus said:

And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire… Mark 9.47

If an eye is capable of sending many souls to hell, imagine when sin dominates the entire body.

Hell is full of souls who were well-intentioned during their lifetime. But they never feared the Creator. They never truly believed His Word.

Instead, they lived life going from one party to another, from one bar to another…

They ignored the meaning of Jesus’ death.

And they even mocked His Word. They never took it seriously.

They thought they could live however they wanted to because, according to them, hell is a human invention.

And many, while on the wrong path, continue to have the same thoughts and commit the same sins.

But, the question is:

Is your conscience in perfect peace regarding the Salvation of your soul?

If you die today, do you know where you will spend eternity?

The rich man begged Abraham to send Lazarus to warn his five brothers about hell. Luke 16.27-28

The same is true about those who are there. They would like to warn their children, parents, siblings, and loved ones about Salvation in Christ Jesus, so they don’t end up being cast there too.

But they can’t.

I can imagine their anguish.

‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ Luke 12.20
