Overcome by Vanity

Some people are quick to lose heart and are overcome by a sense of loss...

“No one is so fierce that he would dare stir him up. Who then is able to stand against Me? Who has preceded Me, that I should pay him? Everything under heaven is Mine.” Job 41:10-11

When a servant of God is overcome by vanity, they begin to think that they are entitled to this or that, instead of being content with their daily bread.

From then on, they begin to complain and demand a better standard of living, in addition to believing that the means justify the ends – which they don’t!

Therefore, when the Lord Jesus touches or transfers something from their life – their ministry or the position they occupy – some of them are quick to lose heart and are overcome by a feeling of loss!

But only those who are mad enough to believe that they own something have a feeling of loss. This is because, as we see in this verse, everything that is under heaven comes from God. Even what we offer Him comes from Him – from our God!

All our offerings and dedication in the work of God is a simple retribution of everything that belongs to the Lord Jesus!
