Our weapon of combat
Bishop Macedo,
A policeman dies every 30 hours, victim of the terrible wave of violence in Brazil.
Parents, who leave behind their children and children, who leave behind their parents. Widows, who mourn the loss of their husbands.
In the midst of this war, we obtained a new weapon of combat: the book ‘Nothing to Lose’ (in process of being translated to English).
During several months, we have been distributing your book throughout all of the state’s military headquarters in Maranhão – Brazil. At the same time your book release took place at the bookstore in São Luís, where more than 15,000 people were present, we held a special book release at the General Command of the Military Police Headquarters.
The result is that your spiritual experiences have led thousands of military and civilian policemen and women to find inner peace, deliverance from addictions, a balanced life and salvation.
I have been a Military Police officer for 13 years and realize daily services in the São Luís headquarters, always using the Word of God and your teachings as my base.
We spend hours counseling military police officers and their families, who now have the ‘Nothing to Lose’ book, and demonstrate a great desire to find out more about the UCKG.
This project has blessed the Military Police force so much that we have been called to speak about this faith to other military branches, such as the Army, Navy and Air Force.
Police officers of all ranks, from simple soldiers to higher authority commanding officers, gather to ask God for a change in their interior. The majority of this group is formed by honest, loyal and courageous men, who are subdued by a terrifying professional routine, which obviously influences these police men and women.
I have lived through this internal transformation myself. I was full of hatred, and had a desire to kill cold-bloodily. Because I was a soldier in the São Paulo Shock Battalion, I saw many bloody rebellions, like the one in Carandiru, and other life and death situations. I was tormented day and night. I would wake up in the middle of the night, frightened by the horror scenes I had seen during the day, which were now plaguing my dreams.
Only the Holy Spirit to protect me and make me a new man.
Thanks to the Lord Jesus and the values preached by The Universal Church, many police men and women have found God, who is the greatest shield of protection, our defense weapon, our ultimate refuge.
Ronivaldo Rocha Negreiros, 41, Captain, Pastor of the UCKG, Chaplain of the Military Police in Maranhão, Brazil.
