No turning your back
The other day I posted a question: What’s the difference between the God of Abraham and all other gods?
Someone answered: None.
Obviously, he must have his reasons for giving this answer. I don’t condemn him. God in His compassion gives him the right to reject Him.
But what catches my attention is the disrespect that’s so prevalent in the world today.
If people ridicule the unknown God of Abraham, imagine how they must treat His followers.
Undeniable proof of God’s existence would not even convince this type of person. Unclean spirits have blinded their understanding.
The quality of their lives proves this: Depression, destroyed lives, constant headaches, insomnia, fear, anger, sadness, broken homes, etc., etc., etc.
It was no different in Jesus’ time. He healed people with incurable diseases, multiplied the bread and the fish, feeding thousands, walked on water and even raised the dead. But this was no use to the unbelievers of that time. They remained skeptics.
The very same spirits of unbelief that worked in those times are at work today. Their modus operandi has not changed.
And yet, this does not in any way interfere with the faith of those who’ve had an experience with the Spirit of God. They refuse to turn their backs on supernatural faith. Come what may, whatever may come, we’ll never give up sharing what we believe.
Exhaustion, hatred, backbiting, slander, persecution, injustice and any other sort of tribulation only serve as fuel for our faith. We’ll continue sharing the Word of Righteousness so that sincere people who’ve been held hostage by their doubts because they do not know the Living God, will have a chance.
“Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12.10
Paul took pleasure in tribulations. I don’t.
