Missionary trip to Africa
I was recently on missionary trip to South Africa, where I held a meeting in the Soweto Cathedral for more than 8 thousand people. I also held a meeting in our cathedral in Namibia for more than a thousand people. Below is a map to give you an idea where these places are located.
I was reminded of apartheid, so unfair and inhumane. Blacks were segregated from whites. Soweto was one of the townships where blacks were forced to live. My dream was to open a UCKG there. Bishop Goncalves mentioned to a pastor from another denomination that we were interested in opening a church in Soweto. Right away he was told that this would be impossible because Soweto is extremely dangerous, where blacks killed whites. Immediately, Goncalves put God to test and said, “If I am of God and serve the God of the impossible, we will open a church in Soweto.” Today, we have this beautiful cathedral here. We have never been mistreated. Not in the past, present, and I’m certain not in the future by these people that have suffered so much.
On the contrary, we have been very well received. They treat us like we are one of them! There is no longer a difference between blacks and whites in South Africa.
The Soweto Cathedral is the most beautiful in the world, especially, when it is filled to the brim with people! During the meeting, we received a beautiful tribute from the children, which you can watch below. I am also going to share with you some pictures from Soweto and Namibia.
May the Lord Jesus bless you all!
