Now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him. Hebrews 10.38

The exercise of faith requires courage.

Courage to sacrifice your will for the will of God;

Courage to sacrifice obedience to the Word of God in exchange for His promises;

Courage to sacrifice your body in exchange for the salvation of your soul;

Courage to sacrifice the visible in exchange for the invisible;

Courage to sacrifice the material in exchange for the spiritual;

Courage to sacrifice the kingdom of this world in exchange for the Kingdom of Heaven.

The Lord Jesus proposes this kind of faith for those who are determined to exchange the “all” of this world for the “All” of His World.

Who has faith to do this?

Who is willing to go for all or nothing?

For those who want to save their own lives, He says:

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. Matthew 16.25

For those who want to be GREAT and FIRST, He says:

…whoever desires to become GREAT among you, let him be your servant; and whoever desires to be FIRST among you, let him be your slave… Matthew 20.26-27

For those who want to follow Him, He says:

If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. Matthew 16.24
