Jesus is the Amen!
Why does the different life promised by God not materialize in the lives of many believers?
There are many reasons, however the most noticeable is that fact that believers wait for promises to rain down from heaven.
This is the biggest reason for the lack of a different life!
God separated Abraham in order to create a difference between him and his peers.
And yet, Abraham refused to do nothing or to wait for things to happen automatically.
Instead he took action, obeyed and persevered in following The Voice… the direction.
God has not called us to merely believe in His Word, but rather to take possession of its promises and to make a difference in this world
…not only to seek to be different, but to daily be the difference.
What does a person do when he or she reaches the age of retirement?
Do they wait for the government to come knocking on their door and reward them with what is theirs?
No. They know the government will never do this, even when they know that a person is rightfully owed certain benefits…
What’s their attitude?
They immediately submit applications to the government.
After verifying the paperwork, the government is then obligated to give them what they are rightfully owed.
We have to do the same with God. We have to get busy…
If there were no need to fight to take possession of God’s promises, there would be no need for prayer, crying out, vigils or fasting.
When an attorney (barrister, UK) appears before a judge in defence of his client, he is not concerned about whether or not the judge likes him, or his client.
He knows that the judge has to follow what is written in the Law.
The same also applies to the promises of God.
It does not matter whether or not we deserve them.
If we demonstrate faith, we are deserving of those promises.
Jesus said: “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.” Matthew 18.19
Please meditate in this Word.
Keep it in the forefront of your mind and heart every single day, or at least until this Sunday.
Take possession of the difference that was promised you!
In the Name of the Amen, amen!
