Among those who hear the Word of God, some are wise and others are foolish.

The wise build their house upon the rock. It’s more difficult and time consuming to build, but the sacrifice is worth it. When the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise with a vengeance, it will remain standing strong and unharmed. The wise man hears and obeys the Word of God.

On the other hand, the foolish man hears but doesn’t obey the Word of God. He builds his house on the sand. It’s cheaper, easier, doesn’t require much sacrifice and the best part: it’s faster to build.

But when the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise with a vengeance, it won’t withstand the pressure and will be destroyed.

Is that God’s fault?

These photos are of a collapsed building complex in Shanghai. The building didn’t have the proper foundation. We can see the results of that in these pictures.
