The gift of intelligent faith, given by the Holy Spirit, is not intended to be like Aladdin’s “wonderful lamp”. Supernatural faith is not meant to work magic and fulfil personal desire.

Perhaps, that is why many people have invested in religious habits but have achieved close to nothing, becoming frustrated in their supposed faith in God.

Supernatural faith is not meant for us to do whatever we want, to make all dreams come true and then go around bragging about our material achievements.

Often, uncontrolled greed and desire forces the so-called believer to want something which does not match the will of God, the One who gave him faith. However, this person says to themselves: “I will eat this in faith.” Except that the thing they want to eat is not because of supernatural faith, but of natural faith – in other words, because of the unrestrained desires of their eyes. It’s not that the consumption of that delicacy is a sin, but it is harmful to their body. And they know this. Nevertheless, the person (living by natural faith) insists on eating it because they do not want to obey God’s voice of Faith. As a result, later on, they will suffer the consequences…

The same can be said about marriage. A person desperately wants to marry at any price, regardless if their boyfriend or girlfriend belongs to the same faith. As a result of this uncontrollable desire emanating from an emotional faith, they find all sorts of excuses – all of them justified by their fantasy faith – and get married. Later on, they reap the terrible consequences of their bad marriage because they did not give ear to the Holy Spirit’s voice of Faith.

God’s voice of Faith never fails because it leaves no signs of doubt. However, the stubborn prefer to follow other voices – which have nothing to do the voice of God – because they are more interested in fulfilling their carnal lusts.

Imagine someone of faith getting married to someone who is not of the same faith! It’s like a member of the Universal Church, who is used to sacrificing on the altar, being married to someone from another denomination who prefers to live “by grace” … I doubt that this will work!
