Immature in the faith
Have you ever noticed kids playing? Their degree of purity and innocence attracts and amuses any adult.
However, their attitude isn’t always healthy. There are certain times when it’s difficult to control their urges, especially when they want something they shouldn’t have. When this happens, many become rude and sometimes even uncontrollable.
This is because their emotions are running high. They don’t think, they don’t weigh the consequences, they have no idea of danger… nothing!
The same happens with those who are immature in the faith. They believe that God has to answer their prayers right away, regardless of His will.
Such spiritual childishness would be understandable, if they didn’t come with the threats of abandoning the faith. As if the Lord depended on them.
Others, for many years, have invested in building monumental problems. And when they have access to the faith, they want to use it as a magic wand to solve their problems overnight.
Besides them, there are those whose faith does not develop because their character is accentuated by envy and strife. To this type of “Christian” the apostle Paul said:
And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?1 Corinthians 3.1-3
