While working in the Sergipe savanna, over past 15 years, I came across something that really caught my attention: Mrs. Josefa’s home, which was built upon a rock.

According to her, the house was built more than 50 years ago. During all this time, she has never seen or had to fix one single crack.

What fascinates me the most about this house is that about two years ago, a powerful windstorm and heavy rains hit the town, causing flooding, overflown dams, fallen trees and collapsing houses.

However, her modest house, which was built upon the rock, remained firm.

The Word of God proves true; as we can see in Matthew 7:24-25, when Jesus tells us to be wise and build our house upon the rock.
