Imagine the reaction of a father who wants the best for his son, and so, he strives to teach him and guide him, but his son just does not listen to him. Proudly, he even thinks that he knows more than his father.

Based on his life experiences, the father does not want his son to pass through the same hard times he once faced. Therefore, he strives to teach him which paths he should follow and which paths he should not follow.

It is no different with God. He teaches, guides, gives directions and shows what we should and should not do.

He does all this with one purpose: to guide us towards the fullness of life.

But, how many end up rejecting the only Word capable of offering this fullness of life?

They reject It because they do not listen, do not practice, DO NOT OBEY.

They refuse to understand that it is through the fulfillment of the Word that man will live.

And testified against them, that You might bring them back to Your law. Yet they acted proudly, and did not heed Your commandments, but sinned against Your judgments, ‘WHICH IF A MAN DOES, HE SHALL LIVE BY THEM’. And they shrugged their shoulders, stiffed their necks, and would not hear. Nehemiah 9.29-30

Time has passed.

But, unfortunately, this has been the greatest problem in many people’s lives: not obeying the only Word that can give them life!
