Hate that is beneficial
Who would have thought that hate has its advantages? There are at least two occasions when we see its benefits in action. Hate of lawlessness and hate suffered for the sake of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Hebrews 1.9 and Luke 6.22)
As a feeling, it is a partner of physical and spiritual death, because whoever hates his brother is a murderer. (1 John 3.15)
But hate that is beneficial has to do with sin. Those who hate sin stay away from it and remain close to what is righteous, pure and holy. This shows their godly nature.
It is also good to be hated because of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This gives you the privilege of being blessed. (Luke 6.22)
The same spirit that acted in Cain in the past also works in the present day. His offering was disregarded in regards to Abel’s offering, and on account of this, hate was born in his heart to kill him.
Those who hate me would like to kill me, too. But, because they can’t, they try to do hurt me through media outlets.
Nonetheless, I feel joy and peace in my soul. After all, the Word of my Lord is fulfilled in me.
And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved. Matthew 10.22
