The path that leads those who believe in Him to the Divine promises is blocked by the forces of evil. God has left us the promises as well as the tools to take possession of them, but they won’t come naturally into our hands. We have to go and take possession of them.

God promised the Land of Canaan to the Israelites and gave them faith and courage so that they could take possession of everything they set the sole of their foot on. But it depended on their will to fight against their enemies and chase them out of the land.

Salvation is also a promise. You must be stronger than your flesh, the world and the devil to achieve and conquer it. This requires effort.

… The kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it. Matthew 11:12

Prayers, fasting, praises and frequently attending church meetings, getting baptized in the water, seeking and receiving the Holy Spirit, tithes and offerings are all ammunition for our weapon of faith. But, it’s not worth doing all this if you’re not willing to take action.

If the children of Israel remained in Egypt praying and fasting in favor of conquering the Promised Land, they would’ve of been there until today.
