Giving it your all during the outcry

Jericho was the first great challenge Israel faced to conquer the Promised Land.

The Lord said to Joshua, “Be strong NOW, cross over this Jordan, you and all these people, to possess the land I am giving to the children of Israel.

Its insurmountable walls would discourage even the bravest soldier.

But, because of their faith in the Promise of the God of Abraham, somehow, it would be torn down.

Jericho represents hell itself when it comes to taking possession of what is written.

How can a person conquer it?

There was only one way: to cry out to the Author of the Promise.

Only He could point them in the right direction as to how to overcome that obstacle.

The Lord commanded the people to prepare themselves.

The priests would blow the trumpets.

On the appointed day, the people would shout with all their might.

“Now Joshua had commanded the people, saying, ‘You shall not shout or make any noise with your voice, nor shall a word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I say to you, “Shout!” Then you shall shout.” Joshua 6.10

“…the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.” Joshua 6.20

I suggest that the courageous do a fast of words this Sunday, starting at midnight.

And at the right time, right after the consecration of the tithes and offerings, the priest will cry out (blow the trumpet) with all his might and the people, together with him, will cry out to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel so that He may fulfil His Word.

And the Spirit of the Lord will be poured out.

Poured out like NEVER before!

The walls will fall down flat and the people of faith will take possession of their blessing.

The sick will be healed, the captive will be set free, families will be restored, incurable diseases will disappear, hell will flee and the people who have honoured and respected the Lord of Hosts with their tithes and special offerings will see the greatness of God in their lives in the days to follow.

Then you shall again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him,” Malachi 3.18.

This is my faith!

What is yours?

May the Spirit of God take possession of each one of you as you hear these words!

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen.
