For those who like to think...

We don’t always notice or pay attention to a particular word in a context. Often, it gets lost among so many others.

It becomes even more serious when that word comes from the Holy Spirit.

This is why many have not listened to or understood it.

During a quick Bible reading, keywords are missed, which originates tiredness and loss of interest, causing the person’s deliverance to be even more difficult.

Paul was well aware of the greatness of being a child of God. He considered this as the highest, most sublime and excellent condition of someone who is born of the Spirit.

He invested his entire strength, his entire mind, his entire heart and his entire life into that faith.

And he confessed:

“…Press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3.14

Upward Call, refers to someone that has been called, chosen and renewed (born again) to take upon themselves the image of the Almighty in this evil world.

It is not the work of mortal man or of an angelic being.

Only the Author of Life, finisher of faith and supreme authority of Heaven and the Universe has power to elect an inferior being (man) to be a child of God (superior).

A chosen generation is the sole work of the Spirit of God.

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light…” I Peter 2.9

Unfortunately, not everyone who proclaims the Christian faith has the privilege of receiving the upward calling and are considered a chosen generation.

It is the Lord Jesus himself who said: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven…” Matthew 7.21

However, those born of the Spirit of God, those who have persevered in the faith to conquer the prize of a chosen generation, the upward calling of God or child of God knows that “but we have ThisTreasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.” 2 Corinthians 4.7
