The greatest revelation God has given us is intelligent faith.

If we want an evangelical church in Brazil or around the world with a quality ministry, we have to guide ourselves with faith based on the Holy Scriptures, a faith that leads us to meditate on the Word and act based on this intelligent reflection.

And the Spirit of the Lord, Spirit of Wisdom and Intelligence, Spirit of Counsel and Power, Spirit of Knowledge and Fear of the Lord will rest upon Him. Isaiah 11.2

We can see that the seven manifestations of the Holy Spirit are linked to reason, not emotions.

Some people go to church hoping to “feel something,” and, knowing this, many pastors want to set an emotional mood in the church, so they don’t disappoint their faithful followers.

When our worship is filled with emotions, songs and tears, we stimulate our feelings, which eventually lead us away from a true conversion and the church becomes open to an invasion of false doctrines and manifestations of the flesh.

Unfortunately, today we have seen people that are only excited during the worship part of the service. They cry, sing, dance and even minister, but when they leave this religious environment, they live a life opposite to the Holy Scriptures, indulging in lies, doubts, prostitution, betrayal, adultery, pornography, corruption, addictions and all forms of unrighteousness.

Yes, the church should be a place of conviviality and joy, we can sing and rejoice, but the profound and intelligent teaching of the Word should be our main focus.

Then I will give you pastors according to My heart, who appear to you with knowledge and intelligence. Jeremiah 3.15

We are not only interested in the significant number of evangelicals in Brazil, what we want are people born of God, washed in the blood of Jesus, new creations revived by the Word and the Holy Spirit.

A mature and conscious evangelical nation, devoid of emotion, is what will make a difference.
