Feet on the necks
“…Come here and put your feet on the necks of these kings.” So the commanders came forward and put their feet on their necks (the five kings).
Then Joshua said to them, “Do not be afraid or be discouraged. Be strong and courageous, for the LORD will do this to all the enemies you fight. Joshua 10.24,25 (HCSB)
But the reality of many who claim to be of God is the complete opposite, because instead of stepping on their enemies (the walls), they end up being suffocated by them. Why is this?
Because there is a condition for the prophecy to be fulfilled. In this case, the condition is for the person to be strong and courageous, so the foot that is on his neck is removed and he can step on his enemy (the wall) and be blessed.
Unfortunately, the number of people that are with “a rope around their necks” isn’t small, like people usually say. Instead, the demons have their feet on their necks: with sadness, fear, sickness, loneliness, addictions, depression, divorce, poverty etc.
Notice that after Joshua killed the five kings, he said to all of his soldiers and the People: “Be strong (to believe in the Prophecy) and courageous (to sacrifice for the sake of their fulfillment).”
As if that wasn’t enough, he killed them and hung them on trees so that all the People could see until the evening, as a symbol of victory, justice, strength and courage, for the People of God.
The People of God cannot remain with a rope or feet on their necks. That is for the children of unbelief! But not for us, who believe. We cannot accept this!
The People of God have to win, win, win, so they can stand as witness to the fulfillment of what was Promised by the Living God.
What kind of rope is around your neck? Or worse, what foot is on your neck?
You cannot accept this!!!
You can turn this situation around, you can do it! We are with you until the end.
So you can familiarize yourself with the text:
When they had brought the kings to him, Joshua summoned all the men of Israel and said to the military commanders who had accompanied him, “Come here and put your feet on the necks of these kings.” So the commanders came forward and put their feet on their necks. Joshua said to them, “Do not be afraid or discouraged. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord will do this to all the enemies you fight.”
After this, Joshua struck them down and executed them. He hung their bodies on five trees and they were there until evening. At sunset Joshua commanded that they be taken down from the treesand thrown into the cave where they had hidden. Then large stones were placed against the mouth of the cave, and the stones are there to this day. Joshua 10.24-27 (HCSB)
