Faith to conquer and Faith to maintain

Imagem de capa - Faith to conquer and Faith to maintain

It is one thing to have the faith to conquer goods that are material and fleeting, but it’s another thing to have the faith to conquer goods that are spiritual and eternal. One does not invalidate the other.

Of course, when someone has their faith focused on material blessings, he will receive them according to his commitment and how he exercises his faith. However, only after exercising faith in the Greatest Blessing – the baptism with the Holy Spirit – can material blessings be established definitively in the life of a person.

Ten unworthy lepers manifested their faith in Jesus. They were all healed at once. Yet, only one came back to thank and follow Jesus. We do not know what happened to the others, but current facts show that the spirit of leprosy, which was expelled by the power of faith, can return with worse diseases brought on by the power of doubt.

When faith is not continually exercised, doubt comes into play. And in the absence of the power of faith, the power of doubt comes into play.

Jesus said that when an unclean spirit leaves a man, if his body is empty and clean and not occupied by the Spirit of God, the Source of Faith, then the unclean spirit returns to that body and brings with it seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and entering they will dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Matthew 12.45
