Everything we do in secret, be it an alms, a prayer, a fast, will be rewarded by God one day.

When it is something unrighteous, we will face the consequences.

God is everywhere, He sees and knows all things.

For the Almighty, even our thoughts are words!

The children of Israel wanted to deceive themselves, thinking they could hide something from the Most High.

Also the children of Israel secretly did against the Lord their God things that were not right… 2 Kings 17.9

They gave themselves to idolatry by serving Baal, knowing about the existence of the ONE God.

They were warned to turn away from their mistakes and obey the commandments, but they ignored it.

They went so far as to put their children into fire. They believed in divination and practiced many other evil things, only to provoke the wrath of the Lord.

The consequence could not be any different, they were removed from before God; this is, they were expelled from His presence.

Today, many haven’t left the church, yet. But they haven’t been in the presence of God for a while already.

How can a person receive the salvation of the soul tomorrow, when he is not in the presence of God today?

Those who know the truth but are now lost, secretly, some time ago, did what was not correct before God, even though they knew His will.
