One of the devil’s oldest strategies to bring down Men of God, which by the way was and has been very effective for those who are not keeping watch, is the lack of love and the desires of the heart.

In order for you to get a better understanding, picture this: on one hand God uses His ally’s mind (intellect) to speak, instruct and guide. On the other hand, the devil uses his ally’s heart (feelings and emotions) and man gets stuck in the middle. If man listens to reason and faith, he will be set free from the bonds of the devil, but if he listens to the desires of the heart, he will end up suffering, anguished and enslaved by hell.

The strongest aspect of getting emotionally involved with someone is to have sex or some kind of sexual pleasure with them. And the devil has also used this pleasure to arrange for the unhappiness of many.

Take a look at King David – a man after God’s own heart – he conquered the giant Goliath, he conquered great enemy armies, but failed to conquer his libido after laying eyes on the sculptural naked body of Bathsheba – the wife of Uriah – one of his most faithful soldiers.

He called her to his palace and because he was burning with sexual desire, he slept with her (2 Samuel 11.1-4). Then, after enjoying a momentary orgasmic pleasure, he was overrun by anxiety, discontent, emptiness and sorrow after realizing that the joy of his salvation had seeped through his fingers and the Holy Spirit left sad and disappointed with his actions (Psalms 51.11, 12).

This was his downfall, which did not end up in death only because of God’s mercy. God found true repentance and shame in David’s heart when he came before Him.

The truth is that when an Assistant or pastor fall into sexual immorality with a woman, at the time of sexual climax, the very moment of EJACULATION, semen, or sperm isn’t the only thing leaving his body, but along with that goes the anointing he received, his ministry, his credibility, his godliness and, above all, his salvation. All of that is being poured into the woman’s uterus. After that momentary pleasure, comes the displeasure and the emptiness of watching everything he built with great sacrifice, struggle and tears begin to fall apart.

Likewise, when a female Assistant or pastor’s wife fall into sexual immorality with a man, at the time of sexual climax, the very moment when the man EJACULATES, she’s not only receiving his semen, but also a sin virus that brings the displeasure of grief, guilt, pain in the soul, doubt, and above all, the loss of the joy of salvation.

May the Holy Spirit have mercy upon us and may our fear of the Lord be like a fountain of life, so that we may never fall into the snares of death. (Proverbs 14:27).

It’s not worth exchanging the pleasure of having spiritual joy through a communion with God, for the displeasure of the emptiness of the soul because of the absence of the ALMIGHTY, and having to miss His presence and His friendship inside us.
