Don’t say it, prove it!

Have you ever thought about what “LOVE” means to its Creator?

Three extraordinarily great things:

1st LOVE means to God: Unconditional surrender; pleasure in pleasing the Beloved over all things, including yourself. This 1st LOVE shows reverence, thoughtfulness, gratitude to the extreme – to the point of eliminating all other existing or imaginary concerns and focusing on pleasing Him in all things, whether with thoughts, words, feelings, decisions, actions, reactions, dreams and accomplishments.

2nd LOVE means to God: To appreciate, take care of the most precious thing mankind possesses: his soul. The only thing that is in all of us and will last for eternity, whether it’s in heaven or the lake of fire and brimstone, is our soul. Where it will spend eternity depends on how much we value it during our lifetime, since the only thing we obtain and can carry over after death is either our saved soul or our condemned soul.

Why does the disrespect or lack of care for our soul hurt and sadden God? Because HE created man to be eternal, like HE IS ETERNAL, but because of their disobedience, death came into existence, and therefore God sent His only Son to overcome the power of sin, which is death, dying and rising from the dead for us. So that those who believe in HIM and surrender to HIM will not have their souls condemned to hell, but will be saved and will live with Him in Heaven for all eternity. Not loving your soul, implies despising Him, the one who is no longer the *only begotten Son, but is the *Firstborn, so that we may also have the opportunity to become children of the One and Only Living God.

(*) Only Begotten Son: an only child

(*) Firstborn: One who was conceived first, first child.

3rd. LOVE means to God: Loving our neighbor, like ourselves. God Himself, when He lived in a human body, was subject to the same needs, thoughts, feelings, desires, temptations and difficulties. He affirmed that he came to bring a new commandment, which has the power to redeem, renew, strengthen, guide and save mankind from all evil.

The commandment is: to Love God and love your neighbor as yourself!

Before ascending to Heaven, He asked Peter – the one who denied Him three times.

Note: When we deny our intelligent faith in the living God, we confess our blind faith in the devil. With great joy and satisfaction, the devil heard Peter deny his intelligent faith in the Son of God three times. And Peter unwittingly confessed his blind faith in the devil, through the feeling of fear.

Both to God and to the devil, true love is materialized through action.

Let’s see what the Lord Jesus said and asked Peter to do:

“He said to him the third time, ‘Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?’ Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, ‘Do you love Me?’ And he said to Him, ‘Lord, You know all things. You know that I love You.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Feed My sheep’. John 21.17

When we ask those who believe in God: “Do you love God?” They will ALL unanimously say, “Yes, I DO!”

But we know that God only SEES if we really love Him or not through this ATTITUDE:

Feed

My

Sheep

In practice, those who love God, UNCONDITIONALLY, take care of their SOULS and LOVE their neighbors as themselves!!!

So, dear reader, let’s be honest with ourselves: if we have not been feeding the sheep, loving our neighbors, it is because we have not been valuing our soul, and therefore, our “love” is conditional rather than *unconditional.

Have we taken the initiative to take care of the sheep of UCKG Flock and to rescue the lost sheep?

Let us not be among those who just say, “I love Jesus”.

Let us be among those who prove it: Feed His sheep!

(*)Unconditional
1. That is not subject to any condition or restriction;
2. Regardless of any limitations;
3. That should be carried out in any conditions.
