Do you love me?

Do you love me?
Do you love me?
Do you love me?

Repetitive questions tend to cast doubts.

Questions require you to think and work towards finding a solution.

Jesus wanted to force Peter to think about the kind of love that He required from his disciples.

When a servant loves his Lord, he’ll go to the extreme in order to please Him.

He once said:
And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward. Matthew 10:42

If giving a simple glass of water to a disciple pleases the Master, then imagine how He feels when someone sacrifices for another’s eternal salvation!

Loving God simply means that you consider His sheep as your own.

The same consideration you have for the Lord, you should also have for His flock.

And the same consideration you have for His flock, He’ll also have for you.

As a result, God, the Father, honors us.

A good shepherd wouldn’t tend to himself. Instead, because of his love for the Lord, he sacrifices his life for the flock.

Before God, this is the purest truth.

Loving God involves sacrifice, sacrifice, and more sacrifice.

Just like when a marriage lacks sacrifice it ends up in divorce, the same happens to those who aren’t willing to sacrifice in favor of their relationship with God; they end up divorcing Him.

As you can see, love requires as much sacrifice as faith.

Peter: feed my sheep.
Peter: feed my sheep.
Peter: feed my sheep.
