Day 4 of the Fast of Daniel
The Fullness of God
And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. John 1.16
In an incisive way, the apostle John states that those who are baptized with the Holy Spirit have received the Fullness of the Lord Jesus, and grace upon grace.
In other words: before the LORD requests our entire life, He first gave His entire life on Calvary;
And as if that was not enough, after completing His mission, He returned to this rotten world through His Spirit to dwell in the bodies that are offered to Him.
So how could we possibly give only part of ourselves to Him in return?
Is it fair for Him to give us 100% of Himself and in return receive only 99%?
Meditate on His Promise:
Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time – houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions – and in the age to come, eternal life. Mark 10.29-30
Anyone willing to receive the Fullness of God has to be willing to give Him the fullness of their life.
It’s All for all.
But, do not forget: For thus says the High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones”. Isaiah 57.15
