Day 16 of the Fast of Daniel

HOLINESS TO THE LORD

All sacred services, however simple or humble, require reverence, respect, and above all, Fear.

When there is no Fear, there is no holiness or the benefits of serving the LORD.

A bishop doing a meeting on the Altar and a person cleaning the bathroom of the church are equally important in the Work of God. Both require holiness to the LORD.

No matter how great the commitment and dedication to the Work of God, if there is no Fear, there is no holiness. And without holiness, no one will see the LORD.

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the LordHebrews 12.14

This holiness required in the Work of God can be better evaluated when we return to the principles of faith exercised by the Levites and priests in the Tabernacle of Meeting. To have a better idea, from the high priest, responsible for all sacred practices in the Tabernacle, to the Levites, responsible for the dismantling, transporting and reassembling the Tabernacle, total holiness was required. The text below allows us to have a better understanding of the kind of separation:

He who is the high priest among his brethren, on whose head the anointing oil was poured and who is consecrated to wear the garments, shall not uncover his head nor tear his clothes; nor shall he go near any dead body (symbol of death), nor defile himself for his father or his mother; nor shall he go out of the sanctuary (leave the Altar), nor profane (not contaminate) the Sanctuary of his God; for the consecration of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the LORD. Leviticus 21.10-12

Now, if the sacred service performed under the Law demanded HOLINESS TO THE LORD, what can we say about the sacred services in the consecrated CHURCH OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, not by a symbol (Oil of Anointing) but with the Holy Spirit Himself in Person?

Can those who are sealed with the Spirit of God afford to relax in holiness, leave the Altar, take a walk in the devil’s territory, and come back the following day to serve God?…

REMEMBER:

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the LordHebrews 12.14
