The crown of the anointing oil of God upon the church

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments. Psalm 133.1-2

The Holy Trinity is One God, so how could He accept His children to be divided? Rebels? Insolent? Live in sin? Impossible!

If the Head is Holy, how can the body be rotten?

As surely as God exists, the prophecy above is not about the unity of brethren from different Christian denominations, since,

Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father which in heaven. Matthew 7.21

People born of blood, flesh, or the will of man are not children of God! (John 1.12-13)

Psalm 133 refers to the brethren born of water and the Holy Spirit (John 3.5). Their lives belong to the Head, the Lord Jesus Christ, and they have the Holy Spirit (Romans 8.9).

King David refers to the Future Family that would be generated from the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ, after His resurrection and ascension to Heaven. This Family is the Body of the Lord Jesus Christ: the Spiritual Church.

How good and how pleasant is it that brethren born of the Spirit live in unity.

David could contemplate, by faith and in Spirit, what his Seed, Jesus Christ, would bring forth.

The unity of the brethren IS LIKE the precious anointing oil!

He compares the true children of God to the precious oil (unmixed, uniform, consistent, and perfectly pure oil) of the anointing. The smallest amount of impurity would cause it to no longer serve for the anointing. The holiness in this element would pass through the Head of the Son and would run down the Body of the Son, which is the Church. In other words, the Anointing of the Head (Jesus) is the anointing of His Body; The Holiness of the Head is the Holiness of His Body. The members of the Body of the Lord are as united and consecrated as the Head. Those who claim to be a part of the Body of the Church but live in sin are in fact part of the body of the Antichrist. They have nothing to do with the Work of God. Sooner or later, they will be thrown into the burning furnace.

Moses (representing God the Father) poured the Holy Oil (representing God the Holy Spirit) upon the head of the high priest Aaron (representing God the Son).

All the purity of the anointing oil that flowed from the Head of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, ran upon His Body – the Body of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the true Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
