David was Grieved II
David continued to grieve.
“Help, Lord, for the godly man ceases! For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men,” Psalm 12.1.
Oddly enough, what happened during the time of David continues happening nowadays. People insist on doing their own will, rejecting discipline and warnings, which are the ways of life.
You should remember, from the first chapter of this series, that David was grieved.
Now we see him asking for help. Why is that?
Were less people coming to the Holy Place?
Is that what he meant when he said: the faithful disappear from among the sons of men?
Certainly not! He was not upset that less people were coming to the Temple because the nation was growing more and more each day.
This is the case of many so-called Christian churches, including ours. Most people do not leave, they remain in church! What we no longer find in them is faithfulness, and we are talking about people who, at some point in time, were faithful in everything.
Well, in conclusion: Why and in whose favor was David asking for help?
He is asking for help for the unfaithful, those who are in the spiritual ICU.
Find the cure! Go back to being faithful again!
