Comment on the post ''The Secret to Happiness''

Bishop,

I have always been afraid of getting married and having it not work out.

Despite being in a relationship with a person and calling her my wife, we lived in separate houses.

Later, already with someone else, the same thing happened.

And from these relationships, I had two sons: one with each woman.

Later, another relationship. This time the person came to my house, but it was on the basis of “if it works we’ll continue, if not…”

Tears and suffering was all that remained from all this, both for me and for the other person. A typical non-commitment with God, though He was always called upon during difficult times, or mentioned when something good happened – which was something rare, especially in my love life.

I was an official Christian of the church.

Then, more recently, I became a member – a lousy member – of the denomination of that person who came to live with me in my house. The other women were from different denominations. It was just complete madness.

But everyone feared the Lord.

And there is crying and deception! Like I said, my children were from different women…

Until one day I came to the Universal Church. Completely broken.

Today I understand about this relationship with God (the vertical beam of the cross) and the relationship with my neighbor – especially my wife, who had nothing to do with the “madness” – (the horizontal beam of the cross).

I thank God, who has been my strength, and the teachings I’ve received from you in the meetings about FAITH.

God bless the lives of all the bishops, pastors, assistants, members…

Amen

Rildo
