Clash of the Gods

Imagem de capa - Clash of the Gods

Even when a place does not advance, does not progress or does not develop, those who believe in God must flourish, the crisis cannot touch them.

But, please understand: “those who believe in God”.

Now think: What happens when a person lives in a place like Brazil, which is constantly growing and developing?

Things are obligated to happen and emerge. So why are there still so many people in this country that are struggling and tied up?

For the same reason that the people of Israel were battered by a drought for more than three years.

Imagine enduring three years without rain in a country where agriculture and livestock are the only source of income! The country went bankrupt!

They went broke, and they had already become spiritually broke. Although they had the option of following the Living God, they became divided between Him and Baal, “the god of fertility”.

“And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal, follow him”. But the people answered him not a word.” 1 Kings 18.21

How were they going to change this situation? Only with a challenge!

But someone would have to sponsor it. Baal had 850 people willing to do that and who could the God of Israel count on?

This is where the prophet Elijah comes in. He was the only one in that whole nation willing to promote this challenge and accept this challenge, this battle. And it was thanks to his courage that the drought ceased!

What did he do to change this?

We will be talking more about this in upcoming blog posts!

Do not miss out! We will be taking your challenge to Mount Carmel on May 14th.

God bless you greatly!
