Genuine vs Illegitimate Children

One of the most telling signs of a child of God is discipline. After becoming a part of the True Vine, the Church, the Body of the Lord, a true child begins to work in perfect harmony with other members, and in particular with the Head. This is the Kingdom of God.
When a person calls himself a Christian but doesn’t submit to the same discipline that others submit to, he is in fact showing himself to be an illegitimate child rather than a true child of God. This person has no communion with the Lord.
We must be extremely careful when these intruders come into our midst with the intention of leading us astray. They are like tares among the wheat.
It is good to remember that throughout history tares have always been found among the wheat. Satan’s tactic is to have his messengers infiltrate groups of Christians.
Balaam taught Balak to pollute the faith of the Israeli soldiers by sending their young women to sleep with them and eat sacrificed foods. This brought a curse upon Israel.
The devil continues to use the same tactics today. He sends the “young and talented” to divert the faith of God’s children.
We can recognise these people who are “sent” because they are not disciplined. They hate to be corrected and routinely complain about the “injustices” of spiritual authorities.
When a person calls himself a child of God, corrections are like the oil of justice (Psalm 141.5).
God’s children should run away from any type of relationship with illegitimate children so they will not fall victim to them.
They are foreign to the body of Christ …
