The Mount Moriah Challenge should be viewed this way: you need to decide what the priority in your life is. What good is it to set your son free from drugs, for instance, when you continue to be sad, down, depressed, etc.. If you want your wife to come back home, but you continue to treat her badly, she will only leave again. It’s not going to help. It will not solve anything.
Do you understand what I am talking about?
You may say: “Bishop, I have money problems. If I had money right now, my life would be so different.” OK, then ask for money, for prosperity. God will give it to you. He is asking: “What do you want me to do for you?” He will give you money.
But let’s suppose you go shopping, buy the best clothes, the best perfumes, and dress up in those expensive clothes. You drive the most luxurious car, and yet you’re sad. I ask you: “What benefit does your money bring you?”
The most important thing in life is not your son, daughter, father, mother, property or health… The most important thing in life is your soul, your life.
This is what God said to Abraham: “Abraham, leave your country… leave your country”.
What did God have to do before He could work through Abraham? What did He have to do? Remove him from his land. “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you”.
In other words, for God to work in your life, for Him to transform you, your heart has to be turned off, cut off from everything and everyone. Amen?
It’s like medicine. When a person goes through surgery, the doctor first cleans the spot that will be operated on. Right? First a thorough cleaning, then he inserts the scalpel and works on the problem. Isn’t that right? A dentist does the same thing. He works on the problem.
God wants to work in your life, your entire life. But He wants to work at the root, not on the surface. He wants to deal with the source of the problem inside of you.
Jesus said: “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?”
You may say: “But Bishop, I’m living here and now, with real-world problems.” I know, but your soul is groaning, it’s suffering. You are suffering because your soul is all alone, with no direction, without God’s guidance, without the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Am I making myself clear?
If you change, if you fix your life, if you save your life, your soul, your being… if you fix what is inside through faith in the Lord Jesus, then everything around you will be transformed. Your family will be saved; you will win over your husband, your wife, your children.
