Campaign for the Family: I am the result

I would like to say a few words about the importance of the Campaign for the Salvation of the Family.

We are living the faith of the Campaign for the Salvation of the Family. It will be seven days of battle, for a promise that is real, that comes to pass. Today, I can boldly speak about it because my sister and I are the fruit of a vow.

Before coming to the UCKG I was depressed and had an inferiority complex. I isolated myself from everyone and everything, I thought I was ugly and always found an excuse not to leave the house, even though I had everything a normal girl my age would want. I was 15 years old, and at the time, I could only find reasons to cry. Meanwhile, my sister was rebellious and did not take her education seriously.

All that changed after my parents came to know the work of the UCKG, here in Fortaleza (Ceará – Brazil). My mother heard the voice of God when the pastor preached about family and the importance of making a vow for them. Because it is written:

“Now the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When a man consecrates by a vow certain persons to the Lord” Leviticus 27.1-2

It was based on that word that she made a vow for us both, and one month after her act of faith and trust in God, we also came to the UCKG.

Today, our home is blessed. My sister is married to a man of God and serves God as a pastor’s wife in England. I am an assistant and my parents are also strong in the Lord. Unfortunately, right now, many people are paying for a 7th day mass, or even a funeral, but those who place their families in the Lord’s hands can rest assured that He will take care of them.

I have been encouraging people to participate in this Campaign, because today, I am who I am, thanks to the vow my mother did for our family.

God bless you.

In Faith,

Karine Juliana de Barros.
