But ...
He was physically blind; however, once he put his faith in Jesus, he was healed. But, until he is born of God, he won’t be able to see the Kingdom of Heaven. He’ll be doomed to eternal death, if he doesn’t receive spiritual healing.
By faith in Jesus Christ, he was healed from an incurable disease, but if he’s not born of water and the Spirit, he’ll continue to be condemned to eternal death.
He learned the secret of faith. He sacrificed, went through battles, persevered and eventually overcame. His family was restored, he achieved many financial blessings and gained a great sense of well-being. But, as long as he’s not born of water and the Spirit, all of that is in vain. He will also be condemned to eternal death if he doesn’t invest all of his life into conquering the Kingdom of God.
He was poor, extremely poor. He learned that the secret of faith is sacrifice. He changed his life completely around; he prospered and became very rich. But, unless he is born of God, he will remain poor, miserable and worse of all, condemned to eternal death.
On the other hand…
She was not cured of any illnesses;
She did not get married;
She did not have a family;
She did not have children;
She never became rich;
All in all, she never fulfilled any of her dreams.
But, like Zacchaeus, she longed to know Jesus with all of her might, with all of her heart, with all of her soul and with all of her reason.
Seeing her true priority, the Holy Spirit scheduled a meeting between her and His Son. Her dream came true; she was born of God and became one of His chosen. Her name is written in the Book of Life.
