Believing Abraham

So then those who are of faith are blessed with BELIEVING ABRAHAM. Galatians 3.9

Many people today have distorted the idea of belief, which is where the word BELIEVER comes from.

Since the beginning of his walk in the faith, Abraham showed his belief through obedience in surrender, dependence, trust, and sacrifice.

But do those who consider themselves believers nowadays live in the same obedience, surrender, dependence on God, trusting in His Promises, and sacrificing their opinions, wills and customs?

Abraham did not live in a religious traditionalism, let alone in the customs of his time, he BELIEVED and OBEYED without questioning.

BELIEVING ABRAHAMused reason when he questioned his condition, telling the Lord that he did not have an heir. He used his head, not his emotions.

BELIEVING ABRAHAMwas faithful to his wife, even though the circumstances of his infertility allowed him to have another woman; he only had eyes for Sara.

BELIEVING ABRAHAMwas a man of war; he set out to defeat the enemies and rescue his nephew Lot.

BELIEVING ABRAHAMdid not keep jumping from branch to branch, seeking sustenance for his faith. He was supported by the Voice of his Lord, and only followed it. He was not held back by the opinion of others.

BELIEVING ABRAHAMdid not run away from sacrifice. From the beginning to the end of his journey, he knew that from faith to faith he would conquer what the Almighty promised. This is why he was not attached to lands, family or his son when the Lord asked him for it.

For the reasons above and many more, BELIEVING ABRAHAMdid not fail in his family, health, finances and, above all, his spiritual life.

This should be the life of a true BELIEVER. If you do not have this quality of life, rethink your BELIEF!
