Arms and Legs of Faith
When Moses lifted up the rod, a strong wind blew and divided the waters of the Red Sea.
Israel crossed that Sea on dry ground;
But, when he lowered the rod, the waters returned and drowned the Egyptian army – Exodus 14.26-28
This defined the freedom of Israel from Egyptian bondage.
When crossing the Jordan River, it was not Joshua’s arms of faith that operated a miracle, it was his and Israel’s obedient feet.
During this passage, Israel took possession of the Promised Land.
This means that it is not enough for a Christian to be set free from the bondage of sin;
It is necessary to leave behind the desert of poverty and advance towards taking possession of the Promised Land.
It is necessary to take steps of faith during any conquest.
The Promised Land has to do with all the promises made by the LORD in His Word;
Especially obtaining Eternal Life.
Steps of faith require sacrifices;
Sacrifices of obedience to the Word of God;
Steps of faith require getting your feet wet in order to move forward.
Steps of faith require sacrifices.
The fulfillment of the Prophecies depends on the courage to obey the Word of God.
