An Exchange of Offerings

The war of words concerning the subject of Tithes and Offerings is due to a lack of faith in Holy Scripture. What unbeliever or atheist will acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord?

Because of this, before reading this blog post I’d like to ask you to assess your faith and avoid wasting your own time.

Tithes and Offerings are an absolute matter of faith—faith that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel will do exactly what He promised to do. Only then is it possible to establish a criterion for Tithes and Offerings.

Offerings did not exist before sin. At that time, access between Creator and created was permanently open. There was no need for an intermediary between Creator and created.

There was no death—His creation had no end—because they were not created for a limited period of time, but for all eternity.

Nowadays scientists search for the key to “living beyond the age of 100.” If they are seeking “eternal life” they must believe it is possible. They do not accept or understand the reason behind the ageing of cells. There is no explanation for why they age and ultimately bring death.

The reality is that God’s creation (man) was not made to have a limited lifespan. God did not create the end, death. Humanity was created to live forever on Earth.

But when God’s creation broke its relationship with the Creator, the Door to His Throne was closed, man lost contact with Him and death, the end of earthly existence, was introduced.

To open the Door to the Throne and reestablish the right to eternal life, the Lord created Offerings.

How did He do that?

When sin appeared, unrighteousness became a part of life on Earth. At that point, for anyone to have the right to eternal life, righteousness would have to be restored. Unrighteousness (sin) would have to be eliminated through death, its end…

A perfect animal (without sin) would have to be sacrificed in the place of a person so that sin (unrighteousness) would come to an end.

This animal was the Offering that sinners presented on their behalf. The animal was a type of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Creator. God’s Law states: “... without shedding of blood there is no remission (forgiveness).” Hebrews 9.22

Jesus is the Offering.

When a person gives his life to the Creator, He in turn, gives the Life of His Son to him. That person then receives the gift of Eternal Life. This is immediate, creating a difference between those who serve the Creator and those who do not.

An exchange of offerings.
In other words: give and take…
