“And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.” (Luke 4:6)

The devil conquered the splendour of this world, to the point of claiming that everything was his, and that he had gained it with all of it’s glory. However, this is how he will end:

“The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” (Revelation 20:10)

What good is it to conquer and own everything, to have all the glory that this world offers, but to end up like this?

Those who aspire to gain the things of this world will end up like him and in the same place, he is destined for.

May God have mercy on us all. May He keep us in the fear of God until the end of the journey and open the spiritual eyes of those who are walking into the abyss.
