After 20 years, the prophecy was fulfilled

Dear Bishop Macedo,

It is with great joy that I write to thank you and share my testimony of faith.

A couple of years ago I had the opportunity to work with you for 2 years in the United States.
At that time my father still didn’t want anything to do with the Church, and in particular with you… The truth is he hated you!

This created a lot of problems for me when I was an assistant. I was 16 years old when I was converted — he kicked me out of the house because I was going to the Universal Church. I had studied at a private school and had everything. But once again, his hatred for the Church made him take me out of that school — where I had studied all my life — and enroll me in a public school, all because of my faith.
And he would say: “I’d rather you be a prostitute than attend that Church. If you go, I‘ll kick you out! I’d like to see how God will save you from me.”
And that’s what he did. He kicked me out.

For one year I lived with the person who had brought me to Church. It was very humiliating to depend on the hospitality of my friend, knowing that I could have everything back at home if I just denied my faith.

Some time later, my mother developed a brain tumor and was going to need surgery, but I knew that if this happened she would never be normal again. I could not accept that happening.
No one in my family agreed with me going to the Church. I was alone, alone with Jesus. A few years later I got a good job as a stewardess for a well-known airline. I came from an Air Force family, of pilots and aircrews, and the fact that I was still attending the Church was considered absurd by my family, especially my father, who went as far as to arrange for a psychologist to come over to the house to assess whether or not I was normal.

But I didn’t care, my faith in God remained strong, I was sure of my victory through Him!
But the worst was yet to come….
When I decided to do the work of God on the altar my father manifested.
I met the man that God had prepared for me — now my husband — and experienced a battle like never before. He went to the church on several occasions to beat up this pastor, and actually did hit him. He almost destroyed my husband’s motorcycle and came close to killing me with a loaded gun… When he saw me sweeping the floor of the church, that caused a huge problem.
“You never had to do anything at home. You’ve always had everything, and now you’re here sweeping the floor of Macedo’s Church?” Bishop, those words hurt me deeply, but those were the words he used. His hatred for you ran deep.

Bishop, if I were to tell you everything that happened, I would have to write a book.
Why am I telling you all this?
Because he recently passed away, and after nearly 20 years of prayers, fasts, and sacrifices, the prophecy was fulfilled and I achieved one of the greatest victories. I was determined that the devil would not take his soul.
This is what happened… Unfortunately, he found Jesus only when he was in great pain in bed. The flesh perishes, but what is most important is our soul, our salvation.
My husband was fortunate enough to baptize him in water.

He even began to show affection for you towards the end.
I know you don’t need compliments, but what happened is so very powerful. The change that happens when a person has an encounter with Jesus is amazing! I’m amazed at how great our God is.

Today my mother is healed from the tumor. She was healed in the church, without surgical intervention. Hallelujah!
She is now converted, free from addictions, and a servant of God. My sister is faithful to God and happily married, thanks to some advice you gave her in Atlanta.

As for me and my house, we serve the Lord!

Bishop, thank you for your prayers and for your untiring love for souls. This is the love that saved my father, this is the love that fueled me, the faith that drove me to fight for him, and that made me into one more addition to this wonderful army that I love so much — the UNIVERSAL CHURCH.

I send you a big hug. Thank you.
May God bless you and your entire family.
