The use of a wedding ring doesn’t necessarily mean there is loyalty in a marriage.

It just means a commitment was made to someone.

But for those who value honor, loyalty is part of their character. It is so important that they make a point of never removing it from their finger.

Whatever the circumstances.

In health, in sickness, in wealth, in poverty…

However, a loyal character hasn’t been very common among humanity.

Just like a faithful character hasn’t been common towards God.

And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. Matthew 24.12

If loyalty is rare to those you can see, imagine how much more faithfulness is rare to those you cannot see.

Either way, whether it’s a husband/wife relationship or creation/Creator relationship, there is something physical that indicates such a partnership. A pact.

Diamonds, gold, silver, copper or even brass, it makes no difference.

Its importance is not in its venal value, but in its meaning.

A wedding band symbolizes a definite partnership with the person you love the most in the world.

Someone who, after the Lord Jesus, is above all other people in this world. Above parents, children, siblings, everyone.

This is the meaning of the sacred union of husband/wife.

This should also be the relationship of faith between creation and Creator.

It is impossible to be happy in this world without a perfect marriage.

On the other hand, it is impossible to have the perfect marriage without having a true pact with the Lord.

In a marriage, the wedding bands are a sign of the commitment made between the couple.

Tithes and offerings are a sign of the commitment a servant has with the Lord.

Tithes symbolize faithfulness;

Offerings symbolize love.

Faithfulness and love, fundamental ingredients in a relationship with the Lord.

Loyalty and love, fundamental ingredients in a relationship between husband and wife.

In other words, the husband-wife relationship typifies the relationship between the creation and the Creator.
