A message from Luanda…

Bishop Edir Macedo, I greet you with the peace of Christ!

My name is Maria and I am writing to you to thank you for your word of faith, which is transmitted to us through the TV channel, Record TV.

During the Covid-19 pandemic and in the lockdown, I had the opportunity to listen to your messages, and I am amazed! They are like music to my ears.

I lived in Europe for many years and I always heard fake news about the Universal Church there. However, I never paid much attention to it because people always exaggerate and lies travel faster than the truth. I have also realised that no social organisation in the world emphasises what is of God.

Today I understand the “madness” of people queuing to acquire your books: you have the fruit of the Holy Spirit. This is evident! I don’t have to be “super intelligent” to understand this. Having little knowledge of the word is enough to understand this.

I have seen with my own eyes how most people in my country are mistaken about the word of God. In their conversations, little is said about God; they speak more about the spiritual leaders and their material conquests, or what they want to achieve. They are suspicious of their brothers in faith, because they believe that almost all of them are wizards, and so on. They have no heavenly vision. They pray more about what is evil than about the heavenly kingdom.

This saddens and revolts me, because most people do not understand that they will only be free if they know the Truth, which is Jesus. They forget that Jesus said: Come to Me… and I will give you rest. They forget that obeying God’s commandments is the only way to cast out demons and other evil things. They forget that they need to abandon sin in order for the devil to run away from them; they walk in sin and “cast out demons.”

Honestly, I don’t know where they go for spiritual authority. If they don’t obey God, how can they have the authority to command demons to obey their orders?

This Sunday, Bishop Gonçalves gave an excellent message about our priorities, and this only confirmed what many people need to know and learn. I hope they watched and understood God’s message for the Lord Jesus to redeem their souls. I thank you and ask that you pray for Angola and its people.

May God continue to bless and strengthen your great ministry!

If I may, I send a big hug to you and your wife, Mrs Ester, with love in Christ Jesus, our Saviour!

Shalom!
