This testimony is true!! My name is Leandro. At the age of 16 I was already dealing drugs. I started robbing different things like gas stations, until I reached the point of waiting for people by ATM machines to rob them. Every day I destroyed my life more.  I started using drugs and going out to nightclubs every night. 

And, due to all these things, there was only destruction in my marriage. I assaulted my wife various times and slept around with other women. My life was completely destroyed and to make things worse, I got involved with a faction that acted inside and outside of prisons. This is when I became more experienced and became a bank robber. We did several robberies and I bought cars, motorcycles. But everything was just an illusion. One day, I was called to do a bank robbery in a rural town in Sao Paulo – Brazil. Everything seemed to go well during the assault, until it was time to leave and the police surrounded us. Without a way out, we were arrested “THANK GOD”. In the end, I will explain why I said ‘Thank God’!!

When I got to the city prison, the police opened the cell and threw me in “IT’S AS IF THE DEVIL GAVE ME A KICK IN THE BEHIND AND SAID ‘NOW I’M GOING TO FINISH YOU OFF’. This is just how it happened. I fell into depression after seeing my life story flash before my eyes like a movie. I saw all the wrong things that I had done to my family, my wife, everyone around me, the people I had stolen from. This is when I became greatly repented and began crying. The evangelists from the Church came to the prison that day and spoke to us about the word of God. They asked who wanted to accept Jesus as their one and only Savior. I was the second person to step forward and accept Him, but I continued in prison paying for my mistakes.

I was convicted after being arrested. And during my time in prison, I read the Bible from Genesis to Revelations. That is when I found out who God, Jesus and the HOLY SPIRIT were. I served 2 years and 3 months, which seemed more like 10 years. But it’s where I learned to appreciate life. Today, I am a firm member of the UCKG. My marriage is blessed and my family is blessed. I opened a store in the food business. I can only thank the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God for helping me. Today, I am delivered for the honor and glory of the LORD JESUS. Like I said before “THANK GOD THAT I WAS ARRESTED AND CAME TO KNOW GOD”.
