Graceless Faith

Lies have many faces…

Imagem de capa - Graceless Faith

Lies have many faces.

Its father, the devil, knows that a lie that has been continuously repeated ends up looking like the truth. He knows that in every half-truth, there is a half-lie.

Therefore, he has taken advantage of the message of the Grace of God and has fitted into it the idea that Salvation is easy.

“…by grace you have been saved…” Ephesians 2.5

As if God’s grace excludes the discipline (justice) of the Kingdom of God.

It is as if I believe but confess: “Now that I am in God’s grace, I can enjoy the world without the fear of losing my salvation.”

As if my salvation was guaranteed by the grace of God.

Does the grace of God allow us to live a Christian faith free from the justice, mercy and faith of the Kingdom of God?

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.” (Matthew 23.23)

Does the grace of God allow us to live the Christian life, yet free to enjoy the works of the flesh? Galatians 5.19

Free to deny turning the other cheek? Matthew 5.39

Free to deny forgiveness? Matthew 6.15

Free from having to deny ourselves? Matthew 16.24

Free from carrying the cross? Matthew 16.24

Free from having to accept insults, persecutions and slander? Matthew 5.11

In short, freedom to walk the easiest path and enter through the wide and spacious door? Matthew 7.13
