WHY ARE ALL RIVERS CROOKED?

Although the easiest path is not always the best, be aware that you will encounter difficulties throughout your life.

Certainly, you have already noticed that all the rivers are crooked. Because water always chooses the easiest way. So, if the water finds a rock, it doesn’t go over it; it goes around it. Well, that brings a lesson for all of us. If you wonder why your life is crooked, it could be because of this same perspective. You may be avoiding difficulties, sacrifices, efforts, and confrontations. God hinted countless times in the Word that the right path is difficult.

For the Lord has driven out from before you great and strong nations; but as for you, no one has been able to stand against you to this day. One man of you shall chase a thousand, for the Lord your God is He who fights for you, as He promised you” (Joshua 23:9,10).

That is, when God brought the people of Israel to the Promised Land, He purposely guided the people along the most challenging and longest path. It was not punishment; God was preparing them for the Promised Land. Sometimes, when the person quickly takes possession, they lose. But when a person fights, they tend to value it.

People, for example, do not get married. But they are making it easier for someone to move into their house. And what comes in easily goes away easily. However, for example, if the young man had to introduce himself to the family and show respect to the young lady, he publicly committed to getting married; when a problem comes in the marriage, he will try to solve it. And that’s what God did to the people of Israel.

The land of Israel was a promise of God and was conquered with much struggle. So, the more you fight for something, the more you value it. That’s why you can’t do like the waters. You must resist evil, and what is good leads you to God.

When he entered the Promised Land, Joshua soon came face to face with the walls of Jericho. Joshua prayed, and God gave him the strategy. They didn’t deviate from Jericho.

Instead of facing the problem, have you been running away from it? Everything you put your hand to do, don’t you finish? Do you give up when facing relationship problems? When you lose money in business, do you give up? When you sin, do you abandon the faith? I wonder if your life is crooked because you chose the path of least resistance.

Watch the video above and meditate on it.
