Did you know that the name of the nation separated by the Most High, Israel, means “the one who wrestles with God”? Isn’t that intriguing?

This can spiritually symbolize the enemies who rise against us from the darkness. For those of darkness rise up against those of light. It’s not because we want to fight. It is because there is no other choice, there is no other option. Either we fight to win, to defend ourselves, to survive or we are swallowed up. Unfortunately, this is the law of this world. So, now that you are aware of how things are in this world, the people of God have been designated to be of war. To even fight with God, let alone with the devil. Israel is who fights ‘with’ God and not ‘against’ God.

What to learn:

In the Bible, it is written: “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me, Says the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17

That is to say, whatever is formed and prepared against you (weapons, tools, schemes) will not prosper, if you are a servant of the Lord. It is not just for those who call Him Lord or simply believe. Calling him ‘Lord’ doesn’t mean anything. Many call Him ‘Lord,’ but they do not do what He says. So this promise is not for these. The promise is for the servants of the Lord.
