As we approach Holy Week, I ask a direct question: Do you really know the meaning of Easter?

Over time, the true meaning was left aside. Today, many associate it only with bunnies, chocolate eggs and holidays.

Back to the origin

However, to understand Easter, we need to go back to the Bible. The apostle Paul was clear when he said that Christ is our Passover, our Easter, sacrificed by us. (1 Corinthians 5:7)

Before the cross, however, there was the first Easter in Egypt. On that occasion, each family sacrificed a lamb and marked the door of the house with the blood. So, when the angel of death passed, he didn’t enter – he passed over.

This is even the meaning of the word Passover.

The lamb and the cross

That lamb pointed to Jesus. That’s why He is called the Lamb of God.

Just as blood protected families in Egypt, today, those who are at the foot of the cross – under the blood of the Lord Jesus – receive spiritual protection.

Therefore, it is not about tradition, but about decision.

Easter is about family and choice

From the beginning, Easter involved the family together. And this is still current. Putting the Family at the Foot of the Cross is to rescue this original purpose.

At the same time, there is an inevitable reality: death comes to everyone. However, there is a difference between those who are protected and those who are not.

Jesus conquered death and promised life to those who believe. But that requires a choice.

What does Easter mean to you?

If before it was just a date, now you know the true meaning. And, in view of that, you need to decide.

An invitation

Therefore, I invite you: gather your family and participate in the “Family at the Foot of the Cross”.

As in the past, there is protection for those who put themselves under the blood of the Lamb. In the end, it all depends on your decision.

And not deciding… is also a choice.

Today, the decision remains the same:
You will lead your family to the foot of the cross to be protected…
