Vision and focus

Imagem de capa - Vision and focus

An architect has a vision of every construction site. An electrical engineer simply focuses on the electrical needs of that building. A doctor has a vision of the whole surgery. An anesthetist focuses on the patient not feeling pain. A film director sees the whole film in his mind. A stunt double just worries about the scene where he jumps off the bridge onto the moving train.

All of us need vision and focus. One is nothing without the other.

If you don’t have a general vision of where you want to get, and what you’re trying to accomplish, your efforts will be all over the place and purposeless.

If you have vision but no focus, you’ll never be able to reach your vision.

Vision is the ability to see everything involved, the way things will turn out in the end and the final product.

Focus is the ability to concentrate all your energy on what has to be done right now, and every moment after, until you reach the final product.

If you want vision, think about the final result you want to reach. In order to gain focus, think of the most productive activity you can work on right now, one that will bring you closer to your final result.

Whether you want that to be in your studies, health, finances, marriage, spiritual life, overcoming an addiction or any other area of your life. Your success will depend on a clear vision and a fixed focus.

How clear is your vision? How neat has your focus been?
