THOSE WHO TREAT TRAGEDY AS COMEDY BECOME THE COMEDY OF TRAGEDY

Tragedies don't give the news a break, and yet many still treat evil as if it were a joke.

In Luke 10:1, it is shown that Jesus sent seventy disciples to go ahead of Him, two by two, to all the cities and places He would pass by. They went with a clear mission: to heal the sick, free the oppressed from the spiritual world and announce the Kingdom of God.

When they returned, they were filled with joy. They said: “Lord, by Your name, even demons subject to us.” It was the first time that many of them experienced the power of God acting through their own lives.

But soon after, Jesus answered something that caught everyone’s attention:

“I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.” (Luke 10:18)

The enemy is real, but he is defeated

With this phrase, the Lord Jesus reminded us that evil is real and active in this world. Satan was expelled from heaven and now acts on earth, trying to destroy, deceive and distance people from God.

Therefore, those who have spiritual eyes understand that life is not only made of human battles, but also spiritual ones. Just look at the state of the world:

• Violence;
• Corruption;
• destruction of families;
• diseases of the soul;
• All this reveals the presence of evil.

However, Jesus didn’t say this to generate fear. He soon added:

“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:19)

He gave authority to those who believe. This is the significant difference between those who walk with God and those who ignore the spiritual world: the former wins, while the latter is defeated.

The path of faith is the path of authority

Those who walk in the path of faith do not need to fear evil. On the contrary, they learn to face it with the authority of the Name of Jesus.
Many live without realising how subtly the enemy acts. Some even mock evil, treating the tragic as comedy and dressing up as demons at celebrations like Halloween. However, those who do this without realising it open spiritual gaps.

The devil wants to be treated as a joke, because that way he works freely. But the true disciple doesn’t play with it. He positions himself spiritually, uses faith and takes possession of the power that Christ granted.

Wake up and choose the right side

Wake up. The spiritual world is real and is in motion, whether you believe it or not. If you don’t protect yourself spiritually, you become easy prey.

Jesus gave power to His disciples—and this power is available today to all who believe, obey and follow His Word.

Use this authority. Step on evil. Don’t be afraid.

Because those who walk with the Lord Jesus have the power to overcome all hell.
