What is happiness? Have you ever thought about this question? In the world we live in, for many, “happiness” is when you conquer riches. But what does the Bible teach us on this topic?

For many, happiness is gaining wealth. People go to the United States, even today, in search of supposed happiness that they understand to be the dollar, money, achievements, a house, their new car, and their materially indulgent life. Others seek happiness in fame, being an artist, becoming known on the internet, glamour, parties…

But the truth is, all this will not bring you happiness, as the rich will famously confirm. Because if money brought happiness, rich people wouldn’t kill themselves. Isn’t it?

The man who most had these things you know: Solomon.
He was the wisest, he had more than a thousand wives and gold in his days was like stones in the street… and he even said:

“Whatever my eyes desired I did not keep from them. I did not withhold my heart from any pleasure.” Ecclesiastes 2:10

However, Solomon also recorded that happiness is not in these things.
