Pay close attention; this is for you who have difficulty mastering yourself, controlling your temper, have any kind of addiction (it’s not just drugs or cigarettes, it’s a repetitive action that is bad for the user), can’t control your words, have relationship problems because you speak more than you should.

When God created human beings, He said, “Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth” (Genesis 1:26).

Therefore, we understand that man and woman were placed in a hierarchical position on Earth to have dominion. God created us a little below the angels; in the future, we, the saved, will be above the angels. So, when a person finds themselves dominated by anything in this life, we understand that something is wrong on the spiritual side because you were not created to be dominated, but to dominate. We do not have the right to dominate other people. Still, we must care for everything God has put under our responsibility (including ourselves).

So, suppose you have noticed that you have an addiction. In that case, this is a classic example of the person being dominated by a greater force. You smoke, drink, watch porn, play video games, and place bets on matches. And that has dominated you.

You, who can’t master words, who hurt people, who spoil relationships, who say things that are bad even to yourself (it’s one thing to think, but saying is worse), are an inconvenience, disrespectful person (and that’s also a lack of self-control). Some people have an unpredictable temper, forcing others to “walk on eggshells” around them. Some people give in to their own desires. What comes to mind is exactly what they do, not thinking of the consequences. You see something in the company and take it home. You think: “The company has a lot”. All these are examples of a person who does not dominate themselves.

If something is controlling you, you must understand that you are not the human being God created you to be. Therefore, you are not under a power that is God or the angels. So, what is the power that you think is dominating you? It can only be the devil. You have to realise that. And to eliminate it, you need to recognise that something is dominating you, stop blaming others, and take responsibility. Then, subject yourself to God. You have to submit to Him and resist the devil. Because you can’t resist the devil without subjecting yourself to God. I am giving you the Word of God, but it is up to you to do what needs to be done. If you are a slave to something, you are not in the place God created you to be.
