THIS HAPPENS, WHEN PRIDE IS GREATER THAN INTELLIGENCE
One of the greatest gifts of the human being is to learn from the mistakes of others and not make them. Keep this advice!
No matter how smart a person is, when their pride is greater than their intelligence, they will end up doing foolish things (sooner or later). That is why the Lord Jesus, when He began to teach in His ministry, said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:3).
Being “poor in spirit” has nothing to do with your bank balance. It’s about your awareness of who you are concerning God and people. The “poor in spirit” is the humble one who recognises his condition before God (we are His creatures and a son should never think he is greater than his father).
We come from God, He is the source. When the Lord Jesus taught us how to pray, He said, “Our Father in heaven!” (Matthew 6:7). In other words, He wanted to show everyone that we have a Father, we are not children of the universe, or cosmic dust, we are children of a Creator, who is the Father. So, when we are aware of who we are, in the face of this great intelligence of God, there is no way for us to be proud of ourselves. The only thing we should be proud of is our Father.
The “poor in spirit” knows how to respect the experience in life, a difference that comes with each other (whomever it may be). And don’t judge themselves better than anyone else. Because there is no such thing as the best and the worst in the “human ranking”. How can you compare people, if each human being is unique? Not even identical twins are the same. So when you look at yourself concerning other people, and you are “poor in spirit”, you recognise that each person that is different from you can add something to your life (even the ones you don’t like, the ones who irritate you, even your enemies).
Furthermore, if a person recognises that they are “poor in spirit”, they seek the Spirit of God, which is the greatest wealth that a human being can have. Only the “poor in spirit” will look for other positive “spirits” (I speak of people who have some “wealth” to share with them) so that it can be added to them. And, if you are humble, you can find a wealth of spirit in many people in this world.
If you are humble, you will rise, grow and become rich, but if you let your pride be greater than whatever quality you have, that will be your downfall. Follow this message in full, in the video above.
